12 Shows That Didn't Make It (But Are Totally Binge Worthy)

When I start watching a show from the pilot episode, I become fully invested in the characters, the story, and everything else that goes along with it. Once the first season is over, I anxiously await a release date for a second season. Sometimes, that date never comes.

I’m not the only one who this has happened to. Many people are left without answers or series endings that didn’t quite satisfy them. The shows then disappear forever (or occasionally goes to Netflix, where people can continually binge-watch the few episodes that they invested their souls into). What are some shows that people miss the most? I asked around to find out.

(For the record, none of the links on this blog are referral or affiliate links. Although if you don’t have Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime, you won’t be able to watch most of these.)

Greek (2007-2011, 4 seasons): This show made me super excited for college and Greek Life. It was probably the first show that I really got invested in and was very depressed when it ended. I was always hoping for another episode or season just for more closure, but that will probably never come. You can watch all the seasons for free on Freeform here.

Terranova (2011, 1 season): Future humans going back to the dinosaur ages to save the future by fixing the past… it’s an interesting concept. This show definitely ended way too soon. You can watch Terranova on Netflix here.

Blue Mountain State (2010-2011, 3 seasons): Funny, raunchy, and everyone has watched this show from beginning to end at least once. There was supposed to be a movie, but I don’t know what happened to that idea. Definitely a great thing to binge-watch to keep you in a good mood. It never gets old. You can watch all of the seasons of Blue Mountain State on Netflix here.

The Lying Game (2011-2013, 2 seasons): Another drama-filled show thanks to ABC Family. Identical twins who live completely opposite lives, find out about each other, step into each other's shoes, and are put in a situation where they need to lie about who they really are. I was unable to find this show online (legally), sorry y'all.

Make It or Break It (2009-2012, 3 seasons): I remember watching this show when I was in high school, and it made me aware of how hard gymnastics is. I also feel like this show is super overly-dramatic, so thanks ABC Family. It sucks they ended it after the Olympic trials, I would love to have watched it through the London Olympics. You can watch all of the seasons for free on Freeform here.

Don’t Trust the B---- in Apt 23 (2012-2013, 2 seasons): Girl, new to NYC, is poor and is trying to fit in with the socialite crowd. Honestly, I didn’t realize that this show stopped airing. It was funny, yes, but not super memorable to me. You can watch all the episodes on Netflix here.

Siberia (2013, 1 season): The trailer for this show looked interesting, which is why I watched the pilot. I was convinced it was really a reality show, but then it slowly started getting freaky. There is no way it was not scripted. I watched it on Hulu, but I haven’t been able to find it since it went off the air.

Under the Dome (2013-2015, 3 seasons): Based on the book by Stephen King, this tv series was mostly accurate. It was a thriller for me, with the characters cut off from the outside world and fighting some unknown force on the inside. They were not renewed for a fourth season, forcing the ending to come abruptly. There was a lot of closure, but I feel like the story could have continued. You can watch all the seasons for free with Amazon Prime membership here.

Star-Crossed (2014, 1 season): A love story about a high school human girl and an alien boy who go to the same high school. Because that totally happens in the future. I mostly watched this show because I was obsessed with Matt Lanter (from 90210). You can watch Star-Crossed on Netflix here.

The Carrie Diaries (2013-2014, 2 seasons): This show is the story of Sex in the City’s Carrie Bradshaw before she grew up, played by the most perfect actress. I believe that I was born in the wrong decade so watching this made me insanely happy. You can watch all the episodes of The Carrie Diaries on Netflix here.

I Wanna Marry Harry (2014, 1 season): Pretty much like the Bachelor with a twist: the bachelor looks like Prince Harry, and these girls don’t know that he’s not until the very end. A lot of drama, for sure, but it was entertaining. I didn’t really expect a second season of this show. You can watch the first full episode on Youtube here (not the greatest quality), other episodes can be found on Youtube as well.

Fresh Meat (2011-2013 & 2016, 4 seasons): A semi-raunchy comedy TV series about college roommates located in England. I thought it ended after 2013, but they magically popped up another season this year to give closure (I assume). You can watch all the seasons on Hulu here.

Now, this is my pretty lengthy list, so thanks for sticking with me through it all. I hope I was able to reconnect you with your favorite tv series or help you find something new to binge-watch (even though you'll be disappointed when it's over.)

My questions for you, the reader: Do you remember any of these shows? Did you hate them or do you miss them like I do? Do you have any shows that you were obsessed with, and then devastated when it was over? I'd love to know in the comments!
